Introduction

Moonkat is a chrome extension that provides you with essential information during on-chain interactions, and also insightful tags from the community.

When you interact with a decentralized application on the blockchain, Moonkat will mark the characteristics of smart contracts through simulated transactions and crowd reporting mechanisms, and present the transactions in an easy-to-understand way. In addition, Moonkat will also integrate on-chain datas so that you can have a more comprehensive understanding of the smart contracts before trading.

Problems

With the booming blockchain world, we’re also experiencing a growing fraud problem. According to the study, in the second quarter of 2022, users lost $100,000 on a single transaction to small-scale phishing scams on the Internet. And in 2021, decentralized financial projects had $12 billion in theft and fraud losses. These statistics repeatedly highlight the seriousness of blockchain fraud.

Solution

To address the problem of fraud on the blockchain, our team launched Moonkat, a service that serves as a Chrome Extension that displays pop-ups when users interact with smart contracts and reveals information about them, allowing users to trade with confidence and with sufficient information.

Moonkat provides three main functions to assist users:

  1. Transaction Simulation / Contract Vernacular: By simulating transactions, Moonkat presents the expected contents of each trade in an easy-to-understand manner. This allows users to determine if the actual contract is as expected.
  2. On-chain Information Aggregation: Moonkat aggregates basic information on the blockchain and allows users to get relevant information in a single click. Through the blockchain explorers, related databases and on-chain data analysis, we collate relevant insights of smart contracts to users.
